Want to compare notes with other beaders while getting advice from one of our teachers?  Call to register for our next Beading Society Meeting this Friday October 26.
Beading Society – Next Meeting on Friday
The Beadworks White Plains Beading Society was started in June in response to requests from customers. This is simply a forum where beaders can get together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and listen to featured speakers. The next meeting will be held this Friday (10/26) at 10:00 am at the shop. (Feel free to bring your coffee and a bagel.)

We have a display of pendants and tiaras demonstrating what can be made when you become an expert wire worker with a creative streak. Jenn will explain how you can expand your current wire working skills into a new realm. In addition, you should bring your in-process project with you so you can bead with others or ask questions of our staff. Please RSVP 914-437-7666.

For first time attendees, the fee is $30.00 – please call to register in advance. This entitles you to a one year membership. Meetings are free of charge to members, unless we bring in an outside speaker. For those of you who work during the day, we have added an evening meeting. In November, we will meet Thursday, November 15 at 6:00 pm, and Friday, November 30 at 10:00 am. Bonnie Rodgers will be on hand for both meetings to answer any questions.
New at Beadworks

We've just introduced Swarovski crystal pearls in a wide assortment of colors, plus some vintage Swarovski crystals. Just in time for the holidays.

Next week we will unveil our new assortment of Hill Tribe silver. For centuries, much of the population of northern Thailand has been composed of ethnic groups commonly known as 'hill tribes.' The largest of these is the Karen hill tribe, many of whom still live in the more remote mountainous areas. They are subsistence farmers who live at peace with nature and the forests. This ethic is reflected in their unique beads, which often incorporate natural themes.
Advanced Classes
If you've graduated from our Basic Stringing and Wire Working classes, you might be interested in one of our new advanced classes: Multi-strand with Cone or Working with Chain. There are still spaces available in this Thursday's chain class.

Check our website for the full class schedule through December (class schedule). Also, if there is sufficient interest, we will explore offering a PMC class - make your own beads!

I look forward to seeing you in BEADWORKS soon. If you have any feedback on how we can serve you better, please let me know by emailing me at nancy@beadworkswp.com
